    The World Hypnosis Organization (WHO) is a non-profit, tax-exempt, educational organization.

    WHO Shows The Way

    The object of the WHO is the instruction of individuals for the purpose of improving and developing capabilities in the scientific, educational, and research use of hypnosis in all fields of human endeavor.

    Rated AA+

    The WHO was the first hypnosis organization to be rated AA+ and get the backing of a major research company.

    The WHO has the first approved and recognized school of hypnosis in Illinois; and requires the most amount of training.

    No Cheap Thrills

    The WHO is a straight forward organization without all the frills.

    The purpose of the WHO is professional, charitable, scientific and educational research in the field of hypnosis that will benefit all of humankind.

    WHO's Special

    Anything donated to the WHO is fully tax deductible, within the limits of the IRS rulings for 501(c)(3) organizations.

    Be A Friend -- Contribute To The WHO

    There are three categories in the WHO:

    1) Friend; 2) Affiliate; and 3) Professional

    A Friend is one who donates money and grants to the WHO. A Friend recognizes the importance of utilizing the mind in any situation.

    An Affiliate is one who lacks the minimum hours of training needed for the professional classification. New affiliates must remain in "good standing" for a period of one year.

    A Professional is one who has a minimum of 300 hours of training and/or experience, passed a proficiency exam and has been an affiliate for at least one year.

    To remain a professional, you must receive a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education per year.

    Learn How To Use Mind Power

    The WHO maintains an operating school of education as set forth and recognized by the State of Illinois.

    Every course that is taught for educational credits will be a length of six weeks or 30 hours or more.

    The WHO offers a full one year educational course that will give the student a minimum of 200 hours of credit.

    WHO Is The Leader

    One benefit is mal-practice insurance. (Premiums higher in CA). The WHO was the first to reimburse its professionals up to $100 when they get mal-practice insurance specifying they are from the WHO.

    Code Of Ethics

    The code of ethics of the WHO is to acknowledge that every life form has inherent self-healing capabilities and to recognize people's individualities.

    To maintain confidentiality in what is revealed in the rapport that is established between practitioner and client.

    To teach and to learn, to share the art and science of hypnosis.

    To understand the methods that are used in helping oneself, need to be used only after they have proven to be positive and non-injurious to the individual.

    The WHO will not discriminate against anyone regardless of race, religion, creed, handicap, nationality or gender.

    The WHO affirms that there is no need for any inappropriate sexual activity or harassment between practitioner and client regardless of cultural/religious background.

    WHO Does Work

    The WHO was the first organization to work for licensing of hypnotists in all 50 states; and to fight for third party payment.

    The WHO was honored for working with the 1992 Hurricane Andrew and 1993 Mississippi River flood victims. It received the 1994 Honeywell Excellence Award. In 1995, the WHO was nominated for the Gargoyle Award for its service to the community. In 1996, the WHO became part of Kids' International and teaching responsibility.

    Also in 1996, members of the WHO worked with the Olympic athletes in the Centennial Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta, GA. The WHO was the only hypnosis organization allowed to assist the athletes.

    The WHO was part of a keystone group that finally got Acupuncturists licensed in Illinois in 1997. 1998 saw members of the WHO serving their country as part of a special trauma unit for the Desert Thunder Operation.

    The WHO was also instrumental in getting major credit card issuers to include small businesses and non-profit organizations, as if they were individual users. 1999 saw the WHO's work of alternative medical fees being accepted by HMO's.

    During the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, members of the WHO were the only hypnotherapists allowed to work with the Olympic athletes.

    During 2001, the WHO was an active campaigner getting the Medical Privacy act passed. The WHO was allowed to assist rescue workers during the terrorist attack on America September 11, 2001. Some WHO members further helped during Operation Infinite Justice and later Operation Enduring Freedom.

    The WHO was the first hypnosis organization to hand out food baskets for Easter, Thanksgiving, Chanukah, and Christmas.
